Cookie Policy

1. About this Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how InYouGo Group Limited ("InYouGo", "we", "us" or "our") uses cookies and similar technologies when you use:

  • our websites, web applications and online services that link to this Cookie Policy; and
  • our mobile applications and related services (together, the "Services").

This Cookie Policy forms part of, and is incorporated into, our Terms and Conditions and should be read together with our Privacy Policy. Capitalised terms used but not defined here have the meanings given to them in the Terms and Conditions or Privacy Policy.

Where we use the term "cookies", we also mean technologies that work in a similar way on web and mobile, such as SDKs, pixels, local storage, mobile identifiers and similar tools.

2. What are cookies and similar technologies?

  • Cookies are small text files that are stored on your browser or device when you visit a website or use an online service.
  • SDKs, pixels and similar technologies are small pieces of code that can run within our websites and apps or within third-party services to support core functionality, security, analytics and similar purposes.
  • On mobile, we may use technologies such as device identifiers, in-app storage or SDK-based analytics that play a similar role to cookies in a browser environment.

Some of these technologies are set by us (first-party cookies/SDKs) and some may be set by third parties (third-party cookies/SDKs) who provide services to us, such as analytics or security tools.

3. How and why we use cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies for a limited number of purposes, grouped into the categories below. We do not list every individual cookie here, because they may change over time, but we do describe the purposes for which they are used.

3.1 Strictly necessary cookies (in use)

These cookies and technologies are essential to the operation of our Services. They enable core features such as:

  • allowing you to navigate between pages and use key features;
  • keeping you logged in and managing your session;
  • maintaining the security, integrity and availability of the Services;
  • enabling basic functions such as page loading, payment processing, error tracking and fraud prevention.

Without these technologies, the Services may not function properly or we may not be able to provide certain features you request. Because they are strictly necessary, they are used without requiring your separate consent, where permitted by law.

3.2 Functionality cookies (limited or not currently used)

Functionality cookies and similar technologies allow us to remember the choices you make (such as language preferences or local settings) and provide enhanced, more personalised features.

  • We may use limited functionality technologies where they are strictly necessary to provide a feature you have requested (for example, remembering your language choice within a session).
  • Where functionality technologies are not strictly necessary, we will only use them where we have a valid legal basis, such as your consent where this is required by law. At the date of this policy, we do not rely on functionality cookies that require separate consent.

3.3 Performance and analytics cookies (if used, in a privacy-preserving way)

Performance and analytics tools help us understand how the Services are used so that we can improve them. For example, they allow us to:

  • measure usage of pages, screens and features;
  • see which parts of the Services are most or least popular;
  • understand and diagnose errors, crashes and performance issues;
  • improve the design, usability and performance of our Services.

Where we use analytics or performance technologies, we aim to configure them in a privacy-preserving way (for example, by using aggregated or pseudonymised information and limiting the data collected), and only where we have an appropriate legal basis under applicable data protection laws.

Where the use of analytics cookies or similar technologies is not strictly necessary and requires your consent under applicable law, we will only use such technologies when we have obtained that consent and in accordance with any choices you make. If we introduce or expand the use of analytics technologies that require consent, we will update this Cookie Policy and, where required, present you with appropriate choices.

3.4 Advertising and targeting cookies (not currently used)

Advertising and targeting cookies are used to deliver advertisements that are more relevant to you, to limit the number of times you see an advertisement, and to help measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns. They may track your browsing activity across different websites and services.

  • We do not currently use cookies or similar technologies for advertising, marketing or retargeting purposes on our Services.
  • If we decide to introduce advertising or targeting technologies in the future, we will update this Cookie Policy and, where required by law, seek your consent before such technologies are used.

4. Legal bases for our use of cookies

Our use of cookies and similar technologies involves the processing of personal data in some cases. When this is the case, we rely on the legal bases set out in our Privacy Policy, including:

  • Performance of a contract or taking steps at your request before entering into a contract – for example, to provide you with the Services you request and to process orders and payments.
  • Our legitimate interests – for example, to ensure the security, performance and effective operation of our Services, to understand how they are used, and to improve them, where these interests are not overridden by your rights and interests.
  • Your consent – where required by applicable law for the use of certain cookies or similar technologies that are not strictly necessary.

Where the law requires that we obtain your consent before placing or accessing certain cookies (or similar technologies) on your device, we will only do so once such a consent mechanism is available and you have provided your consent. At the date of this policy, we do not intentionally rely on cookies that require such consent without also providing you with an appropriate way to give, manage or withdraw that consent.

5. Third-party cookies and technologies

We may allow certain third parties to use cookies, SDKs and similar technologies in connection with our Services, for example to provide:

  • security, fraud prevention and abuse detection;
  • performance monitoring and crash reporting;
  • aggregated analytics and measurement.

These third parties may collect information about your use of the Services and other online services over time and across different services and devices. Their own use of cookies and similar technologies is subject to their own privacy and cookie policies, not ours. We encourage you to review those policies for more information about how they handle your information.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not grant third parties the right to use cookies on our Services for their own independent advertising or marketing purposes without your consent, where such consent is required by law.

6. Your choices and controls

You have several ways to control cookies and similar technologies:

6.1 Browser settings

Most web browsers allow you to:

  • see which cookies are stored on your device and delete them;
  • block third-party cookies;
  • block cookies from specific websites;
  • block all cookies; or
  • automatically delete all cookies when you close your browser.

How you do this depends on the browser you use. If you choose to block or delete cookies, some features of our Services may not work as intended, and certain functionality may be limited or unavailable.

6.2 Mobile device settings

On mobile devices, you may be able to control how identifiers (such as mobile advertising IDs) are used, and whether apps can track you or access certain device information, through your device operating system settings. For example:

  • Apple iOS and iPadOS may provide "App Tracking Transparency" or similar settings;
  • Android may provide options to reset or limit advertising IDs and control personalised ads.

These settings are provided by your device or OS provider and are outside of our control.

6.3 In-app and account settings (where available)

Where we provide in-app or account-level settings that affect the use of certain analytics or similar technologies, those settings will be explained within the relevant part of the Services. Changing these settings may affect your experience of the Services or limit certain features.

6.4 "Do Not Track" and similar signals

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" ("DNT") setting or similar signals. There is currently no accepted industry standard for how to respond to DNT signals, and our Services do not currently respond to them. We will review and may update this position if relevant standards or legal requirements change.

7. International transfers

Where cookies or similar technologies involve the processing of personal data by us or our service providers, that data may be transferred to and processed in countries outside of your country of residence, including countries that may not provide the same level of data protection as your home country. When we transfer personal data in this way, we do so in accordance with applicable data protection laws and take appropriate measures to protect your information, as described in our Privacy Policy (for example, by using standard contractual clauses approved by relevant authorities, where appropriate).

8. How long cookies last

The length of time a cookie stays on your device can vary:

  • Session cookies generally last only for the duration of your session and are deleted when you close your browser or app.
  • Persistent cookies remain for a longer period and are not deleted when you close your browser or app. They are used, for example, to remember your preferences between sessions.

The exact duration of individual cookies can vary. We aim to keep retention periods to what is reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy and in accordance with our data retention practices, as set out in our Privacy Policy.

9. Changes to this Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time, for example to reflect changes in:

  • the cookies and similar technologies we use;
  • the purposes for which we use them; or
  • applicable laws and regulatory guidance.

When we make material changes, we will take appropriate steps to inform you, which may include posting an updated version on our website, updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this policy, or providing you with additional notice where required by law. We encourage you to review this Cookie Policy periodically to stay informed about our use of cookies and similar technologies.
